Full course description
This is an introductory course that will provide an overview of Special Education services, English Language Development Services, Gifted and Talented Services, and Section 504. Teaching staff will receive an overview of the legal basis for each of the service areas along with best practices for supporting learners receiving each of these services. Participants will leave the course with a clear understanding of how a student qualifies and accesses special services, how to interpret an IEP or 504 plan, and how to differentiate instruction for learners receiving services.
